A woman was taken into custody by Carabineros from the 17th Precinct of Las Condes following a violent confrontation at a Shell service station last Friday. The incident, which was captured on video and subsequently went viral, began when the driver of a BMW refused to pay for a fuel refill and initiated a physical altercation with staff members who attempted to prevent her from leaving the premises.

During the struggle, the woman was recorded shouting profanities at the employees, including, "Shut up, you son of a bitch!" and "You are going to go to jail." One of the workers involved in the altercation stated, "She hit me three times; on the third time, I couldn't take it anymore. She also ran me over, you all saw it." Despite the attempts by staff to contain her, the woman managed to flee the scene in her vehicle.

Following the incident, the affected employees sought medical attention at a nearby SAPU clinic to document their injuries. According to reporting by Chilevisión, the woman was later located and arrested by Carabineros. Upon her detention, authorities determined that she was operating her vehicle under the influence of drugs.

An inspection of the BMW revealed that the vehicle was operating with expired documentation. Furthermore, police records indicated the car was associated with dozens of outstanding traffic fines. These violations included parking in spaces reserved for persons with disabilities, unauthorized transit in exclusive lanes, failure to obey police signals, and parking within 10 meters of a stop sign.

Shell issued an official statement condemning the violence and confirming that it is providing support to the affected staff. "We reject the situation that occurred at one of our service stations located in Las Condes, which affected some collaborators during the service of a client," the company stated. The firm added that it is currently evaluating the appropriate legal actions to pursue in response to the assault.
