Suzuki has unveiled the updated three-door Jimny in Chile, an update that introduces advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) for the first time and includes a specific variant designed to take advantage of tax incentives.

The Japan-built vehicle retains its pure 4x4 configuration but raises its safety standards with the standard inclusion of an ADAS package. This technology suite features adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, and lane-keep assist.

The update also adds six standard airbags for enhanced occupant protection. The equipment is further bolstered by off-road assistance features, such as hill descent control and hill-start assist.

Off-Road Capability and Tax Advantages

The model preserves its off-road DNA with a ladder-frame chassis, rigid axles, and the AllGrip Pro traction system, offering 2H, 4H, and 4L modes. Its design allows for a 36° approach angle and 210 mm of ground clearance.

One of the most notable additions is a version equipped with a winch. This technical configuration not only aids in self-recovery on extreme trails but also allows owners to benefit from VAT tax credits.

Under the hood, the Jimny features a 1.5-liter K15B engine delivering 100 hp and 130 Nm of torque. The powertrain is available with either manual or automatic transmissions, achieving a combined fuel economy of up to 13.6 km/l.

The lineup arrives with three trim levels. The GL version is priced at $17,490,000, while the GLX sits at $19,490,000. The GL variant equipped with a winch is priced at $14,557,000 plus VAT, bringing the total to $19,028,100.
