The Social Security Institute (IPS) announced that more than 1.7 million families have received the 2026 Permanent Family Allowance, formerly known as Bono Marzo, as of this week.
According to the IPS, the benefit provides $66,834 per dependent or per family, depending on the specific case. The institute projects that approximately 1.9 million families will access the state support by the end of the payment process.
Officials are now urging families assigned to in-person payments to verify their status. This includes those scheduled to collect funds at Los Héroes or BancoEstado branches.
How to verify payments
Beneficiaries can check their payment status through the official website at www.aportefamiliar.cl or via the ChileAtiende portal. The system requires users to enter their RUN and date of birth to see the specific amount, payment date, and designated collection location.
Those unable to use the website can contact the ChileAtiende Call Center by dialing 101. The IPS emphasizes that the benefit is assigned automatically to those meeting the necessary requirements, meaning no prior application or registration is required.
Recipients must collect their funds within a nine-month window starting from the date the payment document is issued. For instance, a payment available from March 16, 2026, must be claimed by December 16, 2026.
While the majority of the scheduled payments have been processed, the IPS is monitoring the small percentage of families who have yet to claim their funds to ensure timely distribution.
