The electricity company Enel has announced a series of scheduled power outages for specific areas within the Metropolitan Region this Wednesday, April 15. The interruptions will affect 10 districts in the capital as part of ongoing network maintenance.
According to a statement on the company's website, the temporary outages are necessary for several hours to facilitate technical work in the affected areas. These maintenance tasks aim to ensure the long-term reliability of the service in the targeted sectors.
District details and schedules
Outages will be distributed across different time blocks depending on the location. In Lo Barnechea and Vitacura, power will be interrupted between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., according to reports from latercera.com.
In the southern and western parts of the capital, La Florida will experience outages from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Meanwhile, Providencia is scheduled for a disruption between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Santiago will see power drops between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. In districts such as San Miguel and Cerrillos, service will be suspended from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Recoleta will face outages between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Finally, sectors in Pedro Aguirre Cerda and Estación Central will experience interruptions from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The company noted that a complete map of the scheduled work can be viewed on its digital portal. On this map, ongoing outages are highlighted in green, while upcoming interruptions are marked in blue.
