Christian Garin has returned to the ATP Top 100 following his recent performance at the Monte Carlo Masters, according to reports from La Tercera and BioBioChile. The Chilean player climbed 26 positions to reach 83rd in the world rankings.
Garin’s ascent follows a run through the qualifying rounds and a second-round appearance in the main draw of the tournament in Monaco. His progress ended after a loss to Alexander Zverev, who secured a comeback victory in the third set.
While Garin leads the Chilean surge, Alejandro Tabilo saw a slight decline. La Tercera reports that Tabil and the nation's top-ranked player dropped six spots to 45th after defending 50 points from the previous year.
Shifts in the Chilean and Global Rankings
Other Chilean players also saw movement in the latest update. BioBioChile noted that Tomás Barrios climbed three places, though the two sources differ slightly on his exact position, with La Tercera placing him at 120th and BioBioChile at 123rd. Nicolás Jarry moved up one spot to 155th, ending a period of negative momentum following his semifinals run at the Madrid Challenger.
Matías Soto remains stable at 304th. The updates also highlighted significant shifts at the top of the global circuit. Jannik Sinner has claimed the number one spot, displacing Carlos Alcaraz, who fell to second.
According to the official ATP updates, the top ten now includes Alexander Zverev in third, Novak Djokovic in fourth, and rising players Felix Auger-Allessime and Ben Shelton in fifth and sixth, respectively. The rankings also featured notable gains for Valentin Vacherot, who reached a personal best of 17th, and Alexander Blockx, who rose 20 spots to 71st.
