Telmex is rolling out another round of free speed increases for its Infinitum internet subscribers in Mexico. The company confirmed this week that it is upgrading its 500-megabit and 750-megabit plans to 600 and 850 megabits, respectively.

These adjustments follow a series of similar upgrades implemented last March. The company announced the change via its official X account, clarifying that the 100-megabit boost applies to both residential and business customers at no additional cost to their monthly bills.

A pattern of connectivity upgrades

This latest move completes a cycle of upgrades that has touched nearly every tier of the company's service offerings. Since March, Telmex has steadily increased speeds across seven different plans. The entry-level package, which provided 60 megabits in 2024, now delivers 120 megabits for the same price. Over the past two years, the base-level service has effectively doubled in speed without a corresponding price hike.

According to the updated pricing structure on the Telmex website, the new 600-megabit plan is listed at 725 pesos per month for a bundle including telephony, or 649 pesos for internet-only service. The 850-megabit plan is priced at 999 pesos for the bundled service and 899 pesos for standalone internet.

Beyond the speed increases, Telmex is pushing its new hardware initiatives. The company is currently promoting the rollout of WiFi 7 routers, marketed as "Hiper WiFi 7," to improve connectivity performance for its users.

To entice new subscribers, Telmex is also offering six months of free access to streaming services including Netflix, HBO Max, and F1 TV for customers who sign up for automated payment billing. These incentives arrive as the company attempts to maintain its competitive edge in the Mexican telecommunications market by emphasizing both raw speed and value-added entertainment bundles.
