How to Register Your Mobile Line with Bait, Virgin Mobile, and Oxxo Cel
Mobile registration Mexico

Users of mobile providers such as Bait, Virgin Mobile, FreedomPop, and Oxxo Cel must register their phone numbers to ensure uninterrupted service. This identity verification process is critical to preventing line suspension or the permanent loss of service.

For Bait, Walmart's mobile brand, the registration process is entirely digital. Users must visit the official Altan Redes portal and provide identification details, such as a CURP for Mexican citizens or a passport for foreign nationals.

To complete the procedure on Bait, the system requires users to upload a photo of an official ID and perform a "liveness test" via a selfie. Once the information is verified, users will receive confirmation that their line has been successfully linked.

Registration Procedures for Virgin Mobile and Oxxo Cel

Virgin Mobile users must log in to their dedicated platform and enter their 10-digit mobile number. Similar to the Bait process, the company requires an upload of an official ID and a selfie to verify the account holder's identity.

Meanwhile, customers of FreedomPop and Oxxo Cel follow a very similar validation scheme. Both services utilize platforms that require the user's phone number and the submission of a verification code sent via SMS.

The process for these users involves uploading photos of both the front and back of an official ID, as well as providing a CURP. After the biometric and personal data validation is complete, the system sends a message confirming that the number has been successfully registered.

It is essential to follow each operator's specific instructions to ensure that the information in the database matches the official identification provided.
