The standout feature of this new model is the integration of the Honda i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system. According to the specialized automotive portal, this technology is designed to enhance safety on wet pavement and optimize performance on off-road terrain.
Upgraded Technology and Comfort
The SUV's interior marks a significant technological leap forward. The HD touchscreen has expanded to 12.3 inches, representing a 37% increase over the previous model, per information from xataka.com.mx.
The digital instrument cluster now measures 10.2 inches, and the multimedia system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin also features a 360-degree camera system to assist with maneuvering.
To enhance the driving experience, Honda has implemented semi-tempered glass and new insulation materials to reduce exterior noise. The leather and suede seats come equipped with both heating and ventilation functions.
In terms of performance, the 2026 Pilot retains its 3.5-liter V6 engine, delivering 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission featuring a 'Shift by Touch' system.
The all-wheel-drive system allows up to 70% of torque to be sent to the rear axle, with the capability to direct that power specifically to either the left or right rear wheel. The vehicle features five driving modes: Econ, Snow, Dirt, Walk, and Sport.
Safety remains a core priority, with the Honda Sensing suite included as standard. This package features automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and lane assist to protect passengers in various high-risk situations.
